A production-grade medical fact-checking platform built with the OpenAI Agents SDK. Four specialized AI agents collaborate to combat health misinformation: a Search Trends Agent identifies viral health myths circulating online, a Sources Selector Agent picks the most relevant trusted medical institutions, a Research Manager synthesizes evidence-based articles with citations, and an Email Agent delivers formatted reports. Available in English and French.

Search Trends Agent

Scans social media, forums, and messaging apps to identify up to 5 trending health myths currently circulating online, ranked by virality and categorized by health domain.

Sources Selector Agent

Selects the 5 most relevant trusted medical institutions from a database of 30+ sources — including CDC, NIH, WHO, and INSERM — tailored to each specific health claim.

Research Manager Agent

The core fact-checking engine that synthesizes research from selected sources, cross-references scientific consensus, and generates a comprehensive evidence-based article with citations.

Email Delivery Agent

Converts the generated markdown report into a professionally styled HTML email and delivers it to recipients, making it easy to share fact-check articles with colleagues or patients.

Technologies Used

The platform is built on the OpenAI Agents SDK, using Pydantic models for structured agent outputs and async streaming for real-time article generation. Each agent is orchestrated via the Runner framework, enabling autonomous reasoning and seamless collaboration.

How It Works

1. Find Trending Myths

The Search Trends Agent identifies viral health misinformation circulating online. Users can pick a trending claim or enter their own topic to fact-check.

2. Select Trusted Sources

The Sources Selector Agent automatically picks the 5 most relevant trusted medical institutions (CDC, NIH, WHO, etc.) for the selected health claim. Users can review and edit the sources.

3. Generate Fact-Check Article

The Research Manager Agent synthesizes findings from the selected sources, cross-references scientific consensus, and streams a comprehensive evidence-based article with citations in real time.

4. Share via Email

The Email Agent converts the markdown report into a professionally styled HTML email and delivers it to any recipient, making it easy to share with colleagues or patients.
