Technologies Used

SubPal is a native mobile app built with Swift/SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android. It uses the Gmail API to import billing emails, which are anonymized and processed through LLM calls to extract subscription data with high accuracy. The AI analysis identifies service names, billing amounts, frequencies, and categories without ever storing the original email content.

How It Works

1. Connect Your Account

Sign in securely with Google OAuth. SubPal accesses your Gmail billing emails and invoices to identify recurring charges.

2. AI-Powered Detection

Billing emails are anonymized and sent to an LLM for analysis. The AI extracts subscription details — service name, amount, currency, and billing frequency — with no human access to your data.

3. Categorize & Review

Subscriptions are grouped by category and displayed in a clear dashboard. Review your total monthly cost and prioritize each service.

4. Optimize & Save

Use the savings view to identify unnecessary spending, mark subscriptions to cancel, and track your progress toward a leaner budget.
